Mother’s Day Carnival Fair

Mother’s Day Carnival Fair

Looking for a fun way to celebrate Mother’s Day? Why not have a Mother’s Day Fair? With this fun party mom will get pampered and everyone else will have fun too. The fair will work well with any number of people. So invite as many families as you want to participate or keep it simple and make it a family affair.

Just like any other fair, your Mother’s Day fair will need booths, tickets, games, contests, prizes, entertainment and food. Read through the list of ideas below and choose the ones your family will enjoy.

Mother’s Day Carnival Fair

Spa Booth

Provide mom with a manicure and pedicure, foot soak and backrub. You can also incorporate a game. Blindfold mom and have her smell different scents, such as baby shampoo, lavender, and other items in the house. Have her win a prize like a facial or some other gift. (Anyone else that wants to can also play the game. It may be a good idea to get a bag of wrapped candy to give out as prizes to the kids who play.)

Mother’s Day Cake Walk

Mother’s Day Cake Walk

A fair wouldn’t be complete without a cakewalk. Only this cakewalk is different because none of the moms made the goodies. Set up the cakewalk by tapping large numbers on the floor in a circle. Then play music while those participating walk on the different numbers. When the music stops the players must stop on one number. Then someone draws a number and the person on that number wins a baked goodie.

Puppet Show

Let the kids entertain the adults with a puppet show. If you don’t have any puppets it would be fun to have a puppet-making booth. Puppets can be made out of simple things found around the house such as old socks, lunch bags, buttons, glue and construction paper.

Balloon Tag

This fun game will take a little bit of preparation, but Mom is sure to love it. Have the kids write down things that they like about their mom. Roll each paper and put them inside of a balloon. Blow up the balloon tie it, and tie some string on it. To play the game people have a balloon tied to one of their ankles. Then everyone tries to pop everyone else’s balloon without having theirs get popped. When the game is over have each person read one of the papers that was inside the balloons

Are you My Mother?

Draw or make copies of pictures of baby barnyard animals and the full-grown animal. To play the game tape one of the pictures to each persons back. They must then ask each other questions to figure out what their picture is, and then find their partner.

Food Booth

Provide fair foods like cotton candy, soda pop, juice, hot dogs, corn dogs, popcorn, pie and French fries.

You may also think of other fun things to add to the Mother’s Day Fair. Go ahead and plan activities that the whole family, and Mom especially will enjoy.
