Barcelona I knew a little about, I had gone there once with a friend 15 years ago, and then then again last year. Each time I loved it! This city is crazy, beautiful and so suitable for families on all points – outings, activities and accommodation.
Then a month ago I received an invitation from Le Méridien to discover their hotels. The itinerary consisted of 3 days in Barcelona including 2 by the sea to experience 2 great hotels … I was obviously jumping with joy! Why these hotels in particular and why us? Because they have the particularity of welcoming children as full guests and they are very well equipped in this area. In short, they are the perfect kid friendly hotels in and around Barcelona.
All right, I’m going !!
The weather was not extremely beautiful but compared to Paris but it was still very nice.
On the first day we did the tourist tour of Barcelona first by visiting the magnificent Palau Güell. I already knew the park but not Mr. Guel’s family home. Palau Güell was built by Antoni Gaudi between 1885 and 1890 on the order of Eusebi Güell and was his family residence at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century.
Then we strolled on the Rambla and tasted ice creams, before ending the day with a mosaic workshop, Le pied.
The Le Meridien – a Perfect Family Friendly Hotel in Barcelona
And then we visited the Meridien in downtown Barcelona, in Rembla more exactly. In Le Méridien Family, the child friendly hotel, fun and games pop up in every little corner of the hotel through inspiring and fun activities.
The family rooms are huge and very well equipped to accommodate children. Small games, snacks, organic shower gel …
Our next two days we spent them at Meridien Râ by the sea (Located in Sant Salvador Beach on the Costa Daurada, 35 minutes from Barcelona Airport), a magnificent hotel that I absolutely loved. It has lots of cozy spaces including a space completely dedicated to children. The rooms overlook a magnificent view with a pond, palm tree and of course, the beach.
The children’s area is crazy and offers a whole lot of activities to occupy them. What better way to spend a pleasant stay with the family and enjoy the spa while the children are playing?
As for walks and leisure activities, we of course took advantage of the hotel’s spa, swimming pool and beach.
Forvm vineyard
Then we visited the forvm vineyard and tasted their deliciously good wines!
I haven’t showed you the extremely good meals (hello seafood) and friendly evenings with the team (non-alcoholic drinks for kids and bedtime earlier than the others), but sometimes you have to know how to forget the camera and enjoy the good times!
